Mark Hudson

Centre Manager

Mark is a fully qualified Gas, Heating and Plumbing engineer with over 38 years’ experience in the industry. Mark has been involved with education and training for the past 12 years and is a fully qualified Teacher ,and Assessor and also holds a qualification in Internal Quality assurance . As Centre Manger since SGT was first established in April 2018, Mark's mission is to create a relaxed and friendly environment, ensuring quality training to maintain the high standards of the industry.

Matt Pottle

Centre Assistant Manager/Gas Trainer

Matt has been working at the gas centre since February 2022 and has a good all round experience of the gas industry. Working for National gas companies and boiler manufacturers in the service and training departments. He has also worked as a self-employed heating and gas engineer. More recently he has worked as an audit and inspection engineer within the social housing sector.  He is a qualified teacher and assessor with experience of the Further Education Colleges.

 

Angus McDonald

Gas Trainer

Angus joined Stamford Gas Training, having served with British Gas, Transco and the National Grid for 45 years. Angus brings a wealth of knowledge to the gas centre and specialises in training our apprentices.

Stuart Brearley

Gas Trainer

Stuart, is a highly experienced/qualified Electrical and Heating Engineer who has worked all around Europe including Germany, Holland and Switzerland for over 20 years and has conducted technical demonstrations in places such as the Houses of Parliament and East of England Show. Stuart joined the SGT team in 2023 and still runs his own heating and electrical business.

Ray Cox

Gas Trainer

Ray has been involved in the gas industry for his entire working life mainly working for British Gas. He has also held roles in Education and Training as well as key operational posts throughout his career with them. Ray joined SGT in 2023.

Lisa North

Business Development Officer

Lisa joined us in August 2023. She’s had many years in Retail Management and has transferred her skills of Sales and Customer Service to our growing customer base. She is committed to offering all colleagues, businesses and engineers a friendly and professional experience, whatever their requirements, from beginning to end. Coming into the business without an industry background, Lisa has quickly developed a wealth of knowledge and is able to offer help and advice on our courses, when needed.
